Hey there, friends and collectors!
Spring is here, and I’m thrilled to invite you to a special Pop-Up Art Show on Thursday, April 3rd (7–9 PM) at Bar Rione in the Pearl District.
It’s in conjunction with Portland’s 25th Anniversary First Thursday Art Walk, and I’ll be debuting all-new work from my Very Cherry series—inspired by the fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms and the powerful stories they carry.
Truth? I never expected cherry blossoms to become a muse—until a profoundly personal commission opened my eyes to their magic. These pieces are all about renewal, resilience, and finding beauty in transition—themes that feel perfect for spring. And since First Thursday is always a celebration, I’d love to share them with you.
Here’s what to expect:
- Brand-new original paintings
- Limited-edition giclée prints—perfect if you’ve been wanting a piece of my work at a more accessible price point
- Live music from classical guitarist Madeline Okano
- Fine wine & cocktails courtesy of Bar Rione’s stellar team
Big thanks to Brian and the crew at Bar Rione for helping make this happen—their space is cozy, chic, and just right for an intimate art night.
Whether you’re a longtime collector or just love supporting local art, come raise a glass, soak in the vibes, and maybe take home something special. These pieces won’t last long!
See you there?
Bar Rione (12th & Johnson) Thursday, April 3, 7–9 PM

Also, if you can’t make it but are interested in prints or a studio visit, reply to this email—I’m happy to discuss.
Cheers,
Garrick
P.P.S. Share this with a friend who needs more art (and cherry blossoms) in their life!
