I Exposed Myself In Europe

Expose Yourself To Art

Before we go too much further: I should confess that the man in the above photo is not me. Is it weird I wish it was?

That's former Portland, Oregon's Mayor Bud Clark posing for a neighborhood fundraiser in 1978 titled: "Expose Yourself To Art."

It was a different time.

My exposure was a little less direct than Mayor Clark's but still a hoot:

In 2021 I was contacted by the curation team at Monat Gallery in Madrid, Spain, and I was invited to participate in an Art Fair in November of 2021 in Brussels, Belgium. It's a large event with over 80 galleries from around the EU exhibiting.

Monat has some pretty serious artists in their stable of clients (take a peek - I'm in there!) so I felt honored to be shown alongside these talented folks from places I've only dreamt of visiting - someday.

Despite Covid, the event was well attended.

In May of 2022, there will be an exhibit at the Gallery in Madrid and I will have two works exhibited in that show as well.

For the time being, my painting efforts remain the world's best-kept secret here in the States. But I'm a really big deal in Europe!

I've included some photos of the gallery and from the Art Fair in Brussels below.
