Quantum Field #01 Currently Exhibited at Monat Gallery - Madrid Spain
Available For Purchase on Artsy.net
An abstract painting on a 36” x 28” canvas.
This is the first in a series of Quantum Fields paintings I hope to create.
I’ve found the concept of quantum physics, of particles that are somehow both waves then particles then waves again - blinking in and out of our reality, existing in two or more places simultaneously utterly fascinating.
And I don’t understand it either. But the idea that there’s some membrane - a field - of sorts where particles become energy then matter (still energy) and back again inspired me.
I may have the science all wrong (I almost guarantee it) - but I painted what I felt about it and that’s true enough for me.
The painting it’s self was created using uncounted layers of tinted glazes to build the background. Then in between each application of color is another layer of glaze.
The finished piece is saturated in color and has a great deal of depth…
To be honest it was tedious as hell and I doubted myself throughout the process. But in the end it all came together the results are visually powerful.
You can learn more about the materials used to create your painting here...
Your painting also arrives with a handmade frame free of charge. You can read more about that here…
Please don’t hesitate to contact me to asks if you have any questions.
